About Stems Flower Market

Stems Flower Market is located at 7 Mair Street East, Ballarat. We have a dedicated team and we pride ourselves on providing premium fresh cut flowers at market prices. We stock over 60 fresh flower lines in our walk in coolroom. We are open 7 days a week to cater for your needs and provide a delivery service everyday that we are open. Our supply is backed by our own production farm Ballarat Carnations.  The farm is currently producing beds and beds of the highest quality chrrys for Mothers Day, stocks which looks lke an entire igloo of white stocks.  Of coure there is the ongoing supply of Carnations, Alstromeria, Statice, Gypsophilia,  just finished is our much sought after Lissianthus.   Last but not least the newest product on the florists shelf 'green trick',this ensures a close connection between the farm and our customers. We source all of our products direct from growers cutting out the middle men - ensuring both a fresher and cheaper product. 

Our project at the moment is to decrease our impact on the environment by mulching our greenwaste from stems which we estimate is a third of our waste. By doing this we hope to offer staff mulch for their home gardens and if we have more than that we will look at making it available to our customers instore. We will keep you posted on our progress.

Update as of Jan 2009 - its in full swing, mulching all our green waste and cardboard so far we have saved over 5 cubic metres of landfill and are turning that into nutritious compost which we plan to reuse on our gardens.

This year we have opened up our second store in Wendouree "the flower connection'.  One of our best floral designers Pam has gone to the flower connection to manage the store.  It is Wendourees only flower shop and with easy parking and the great fresh quality of flowers that our customers have enjoyed for years at Stems  it is well worth a visit if you are up that end of town.
