Market report 28th May
May 28 2009The Market team have arrived back to Ballarat with another van full of flowers.
Winter is definitely in the air, with the first calandula, snap dragons and stocks entering the market. These lines offer great value, as the striking colours make them ideal for a gift or to brighten the home.
Also of great quality are the tulips. We have these in store for only $12.00, and have been extremely popular early in the week. By simply putting two bunches together, wrapped in some brown paper, and raffia, you have an ideal gift.
Lillies are again in abundance in the market, so we have loaded up on the asiatics and the orientals this week.
If plants are your thing, the cyclamens today were stunning as were the pink bromeliads, which are the perfect gift.
From the farm, the production has fallen off considerably, but the quality of the carnations is superb. Also the Green Trick continues to sell well, and is an exclusive item to Stems.
Today in store we holding the ‘Biggest Morning Tea’, so if you are reading this and need an excuse to go for a drive, come on down and we will feed you up on some home grown goodies, and a cuppa, for a great cause… Thats all this week. Happy flower buying!
