Market Report Thursday 3rd September

Back at the market after my Queensland holiday was a bit of a shock to the system.  The alarm sounded at 2 a.m and I was hit with the reality that my holidays were well and truely over.  However it was a joy to go to a market that was brimming with spring blooms and special prices to match.  The warmer weather has given local crops the boost they have needed and large volumes of flowers were in market today.

We have some fantastic specials instore this week with Gerberas in a large range of bright colours at 2 bunches for only $20.  Tulips are the same at 2 for $20 and locally grown Iris are at 3 for $20 as well.  Be quick as the stocks of these lines might not last long.

Cymbidium Orchids.  All that can be said that they are simply brilliant at the moment as either a cut flower stem for a bottle vase or as a livining pot.  Both options provide great value for money as these extra large stems last for up to 4 weeks as a cut and 8 weeks as a potted.
